- All monthly fees are paid in advance for the following calendar month of classes
- Unpaid or late payment of fees will result in lessons being suspended or terminated if necessary
- During School holidays all LAMDA classes take place during daytime hours, Monday - Thursday. This is arranged prior to each holiday, via email, on a first come, first served basis
- It is preferable (after the taster class) that parents are not present during LAMDA classes to encourage independent learning
- The teacher reserves the right to terminate a scheduled class if the learner does not appear on Zoom 15 mins after the scheduled lesson time.
- Refunds or alternative lessons are not available due to a 'no show'
- If the learner is up to 15 mins late but does eventually appear, that time is lost as other learners will be scheduled in immediately after
- Learners are encourage to keep track of their lessons. It is not the teachers responsibility to remind learners they have a lesson and telephone calls to understand the situation are not the teachers responsibility
- In the event of a learner needing to cancel or reschedule a lesson, at least 48 hours notice is required to reschedule or refund **************
- LAMDA classes require commitment & regular attendance, which usually include School holidays.
- A weekly lesson slot is not held open to cover extended summer holiday periods and therefore may be issued to others waiting.
- Holiday dates should be given with as much notice as possible
- In the event of the teacher needing to cancel a single lesson, this will be rescheduled, as soon as possible, to suit all parties with no financial loss to you
- Should the teacher be unavailable for an extended period every attempt will be made to find a replacement teacher to cover the classes, however, there is no guarantee a cover teacher can found
- Should the learner not wish to continue with a replacement teacher, arrangements can be made to postpone learning to suit all parties involved
- If the learner wishes to terminate classes, a notice period of two weeks is required. Failure to provide the notice period will result in two weeks of fees being due as compensation payment (without the final two classes taking place)
- Any learners who do not complete necessary homework tasks or learn lines in accordance with their examination deadline, could be terminated by the teacher
- LAMDA qualifications are Ofqual recognised and carry 'guided learning hours'. Therefore, no learner will be entered for the exam unless the teacher is confident they are at the required standard
- Exam fees are set by LAMDA and are payable to the teacher at the point of exam booking (proof will be emailed)
- The examination booking process is completed by the teacher but is time consuming and carries a small administration charge of £5 per exam
- It is against LAMDA policy for parents to be present during examinations or to video record the examination itself
- LAMDA certificates and results will be posted via 'Royal Mail Signed For' and parents are expected to cover the cost of P&P
- The teacher is self employed and cannot be held responsible for LAMDA's practices, prices, regulations or result decisions
- Parents/guardians are asked to support the learning required to a successful examination result and bridge the gap between teacher lead sessions. Independent learning is essential, including homework tasks and a regular weekly commitment to classes
- Knowledge of 'Google Document' is required for sharing of resources, homework, speeches and theory responses.
