    What to Expect

Everything you need to know about starting your LAMDA journey.

    What to Expect:

LAMDA is a commitment and regular weekly sessions are essential.
We will work together to ensure the necessary skills and knowledge are developed to work towards the chosen qualification.

To simplify, you will work on interpretation, technique and knowledge.

You will be expected to pay monthly in advance for classes and complete a short registration form and sign T&Cs.

The cost of your LAMDA exam will be requested at the point of booking. Prices vary, depending on your choice of qualification and Grade being taken.

I can take care of the entire booking process on your behalf for a small admin fee.

You will be asked to attend your nearest LAMDA Public Centre or you can opt for an online examination and take the examination in the comfort of your own home!

You will be guided through the entire exam process and mock exams will take place to prepare fully. Although exams can be scary, its important to remember that LAMDA examiners want you to succeed!

LAMDA set ‘guided learning hours’ which includes an average of one hour per week contact time; as well as homework tasks that bridge the gap between lessons. Depending on your choice of discipline, homework will take the form of: researching, reading, learning lines, completing worksheets, preparing speeches or written tasks.

Whilst many children & young people will have lots of School homework and extra curricular activities, please be mindful that some additional work for LAMDA is required. Whilst we will be ultimately working towards the criteria of an exam, we will also be starting a journey of learning. For example, if you choose a Solo Acting exam, apart from the monologues you will perform for the exam itself, sessions will cover breath control, diction, vocal modulation, characterisation, working areas of the stage, sub text and objectives (to name but a few).

LAMDA sessions should be fun, challenging, full of new learning and working towards a successful exam result.
